What Is Rog Nivaran Puja?
Rog Nivaran means “removal of illness”. Rog Nivaran Puja is a traditional Vedic puja in which the family offers a prayer for the patient's recovery, strength and long life.
The puja is performed under a Sankalp in the patient's name. It brings together Navagraha Puja, the Mahamrityunjaya mantra of Lord Shiva, the Dhanvantari mantra and a havan, and is offered at Maa Baglamukhi's temple in Nalkheda.

Mantras and Deities of the Puja
- Mahamrityunjaya Mantra महामृत्युंजय मंत्र
- The Rigvedic prayer to Lord Shiva, traditionally recited for protection, recovery and long life. Its name means “the great victory over death”.
- Dhanvantari Mantra धन्वंतरि मंत्र
- A prayer to Bhagwan Dhanvantari, the deity of Ayurveda and healing, who in the Puranas emerges from the Samudra Manthan carrying the pot of amrit.
- Blessings of Maa Baglamukhi माँ बगलामुखी का आशीर्वाद
- Maa Pitambari is worshipped as the goddess who stills obstacles. The puja is offered at her temple in Nalkheda and closes with her Aarti.

The Sankalp is taken in the patient's name — by the patient, a family member, or Pandit Ji on their behalf.

Gauri-Ganesh Puja and Kalash Sthapana
The puja begins with invocation of Ganesh Ji and Maa Gauri and installation of the kalash.

Navagraha Puja
The nine grahas are worshipped.

Pandit Ji recites the mantras of Lord Shiva and Bhagwan Dhanvantari.
